Happy 4th of July and It's Sarcoma Awareness Month!

I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July and joy filled summer enjoying time with family and friends:) July is Sarcoma Awareness Month. Bella had osteosarcoma, a very rare bone cancer. The cancer ribbon for sarcoma is yellow and the flower is the sunflower. An earthly treasure was found by Michael Sparks. He paid $2.48 for a copy of the U.S. Declaration of Independence at a thrift store that turned out to be one of the original copies and was sold for $477,650! 

In July Americans celebrate Independence Day. This holiday commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776  and our birth as an independent nation. Some of the festivities include fireworks, parades, BBQ's, picnics, concerts and performances. It is a time to reflect on our nation's history, enjoy moments with family and friends and celebrate our many freedoms. It is also a reminder of the necessary ongoing pursuit of equality and liberty that unites our nation. 

  We are blessed to live in a country where we can practice religion openly and freely without being oppressed and punished for our beliefs. As our flag flies freely, let us never take for granted that we are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for ALL. This freedom and independence individually allows us the privilege as Christians to continue sharing and living out the vital message of the love of Jesus Christ in our nation and throughout the world.

The earthly treasure discovered by Michael Sparks will eventually fade away but what a blessing that Jesus Christ offers a free gift of salvation to everyone in the world who independently believes! THIS is the most priceless treasure of an abundant life on earth that will never fade away and last for all eternity. 

Scripture verse: Timothy 4:10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
