October- Happy Fall Season

This month's inspirational message is "Heaven Is Rejoicing!"

Did you know that in Papua New Guinea there are over 800 indigenous languages? This is due to its severe geographic isolation that allows distinct clans and villages just a few miles apart to develop completely independent vocabulary sets, tribal identities, and language families. The areas are so remote that they are only accessible by air. An indigenous ethnic group-the Onobasulu people, live in remote village settlements over extremely rugged terrain.

Over the last 30 years there has been a project to translate the New Testament Bible for the approximate 2000 Onobasulu people. Missionaries lived and worked with the people in their language. A nonprofit called JARS Aviation made this possible. On the day of dedication the Onobasulu people came from all over the mountain range. Some walked 6-8 hours and others 4 days through the jungle. They lined the grassy handmade airstrip in colorful attire, waving palm branches and singing praises when the plane arrived. Thousands walked for days to finally see the Bible in their own language arrive. Imagine all of Heaven rejoicing!

In the apostle John's vision of the future in the last book of the New Testament- Revelation, he saw an enormous gathering of people and angelic creatures in heaven declaring gratefulness to God. They celebrated God's sovereignty that overcame evil, His reign over the whole earth and eternal life with Him. Over and over again, all the inhabitants of heaven declare "Hallelujah."

We often have the Bible laying around and take it for granted. It is the most precious book that stands the test of time and through all of the ages. As I watched the Onobasulu people filled with joy and gratitude to receive their first Bible, it made me appreciate the freedom that I have to access, open and read God's word, anytime.  

One day, people from "from every tribe and language and people and nation" will declare God's glory. Every different language will shout with exuberance, "Hallelujah!"

Scripture verse: Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Thank you to everyone who supported Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Bella's memory,through her science page link: osinst.org/bella-muntean-fund. Bella's dying wish was to find better treatments so that no child would suffer from this painful disease like she did and that there would be a cure one day.

As we approach retirement and close the nonprofit at the end of this year, our family will be continuing our partnership with the Osteosarcoma Institute in memory of Bella for better treatments and hopes of survival for others battling this rare and aggressive bone cancer. There hasn't been a new treatment in over 40 years. Since OSI's inception in 2017 they already have 2 clinical trials and their administrative salaries are covered by a private foundation. They are focused on the cure!
