Happy 4th of July & Sarcoma Awareness Month

This month's inspirational message is: True Freedom.

As my husband and I celebrate our 26th anniversary the U.S. will be celebrating its 250th anniversary. This milestone marks 250 years of freedom and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Some of these noted freedoms include freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

What does freedom mean to you? Talk to someone who has lived in a communist country and I assure you that you will see how fortunate we are as Americans. It is easy to take our freedoms for granted but something we must continue to hold onto and fight for.

For the believers in Jesus in the young church in Corinth, the apostle Paul established a foundational Christian principle regarding personal freedom. Paul's inspiring words in 1 Corinthians 10:23-24 "I have the right to do anything," you say-but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"- but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. The believers saw their freedom in Christ as an opportunity to pursue their own personal interests. However, Paul wrote that they should view it as an opportunity to benefit and build others up. He taught them that true freedom isn't the right to do as one pleases, but the liberty to do as they should being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Like it states in the Pledge of Allegiance, the USA is one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. This concluding phrase aligns with the thoughts of our Revolutionary leaders. Our many freedoms, paid by the vast sacrifice of others throughout history, should humble us and unite us in spirit. Let's choose to use our freedoms in building up others with a servant's heart instead of serving ourselves.

When you walk in the footsteps of Jesus with a helping hand and giving heart, this is true freedom.

Scripture verse: 1 Corinthians 10:24 No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

Wishing everyone many blessings!

In Peace And Love,

Brenda

As we approach retirement and close the nonprofit at the end of this year, we are continuing our partnership with the Osteosarcoma Institute in memory of Bella for better treatments and hopes of survival for others battling this rare and aggressive bone cancer. There hasn't been a new treatment in over 40 years. Since OSI's inception in 2017 they already have 2 clinical trials and their administrative salaries are covered by a private foundation. They are focused on the cure!

July is Sarcoma Awareness month. Bella's dying wish was to find better treatments so that no child would suffer from this painful disease like she did and that there would be a cure one day. Therefore, a science fundraising page at OSI has been established in her memory at this link:

We thank all of our "Angel" sponsors who have supported us over the years! We are truly humbled and blessed to be on this journey of faith and have a prayer section below for anyone needing prayer. If you would like me to add your name to the prayer list, please email me at: brenda@angelheartofhope.org and I will update the prayer list. You can also email me with any specific prayer requests that you want me to pray about privately. Please pray over the list of names. There are so many needs.
