Happy Spring & Happy Mother's Day!

The message this month is "Trusting in Him."

A dog was rescued from an animal shelter days before he was to be euthanized and became a lady's companion. For ten years, he calmly slept beside her bed. Then, he began to jump and lick her face. The lady reprimanded him but he continued this every night. Then, he began jumping on the woman's lap every time she sat down and licked her face. As she was contemplating on sending him to obedience school, she began to realize how insistent he was on licking her every day and in the same spot on her face.

She went to the doctor who discovered a microscopic tumor that was bone cancer. The doctor told her that if she had waited any longer, it probably would have killed her. The lady trusted her dog's keen instincts and she was thankful for this.

The Scriptures repeatedly mention that trusting God leads to life and joy. The psalmist says, "Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord" (40:4).  When we learn to trust in God and notice the signs of His love all around us, we can surrender all of our pain, fear, anxiety, sickness, depression and worry to the One who sacrificed it all for each one of us. The trust doesn't come easily and the timing or results may not be what we hope for. However, trusting Him as you move forward in faith, will bless you with the freedom to experience an abundance of His peace, love and joy that will radiate upon others. Thanks be to God!

Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.

As we approach retirement and close the nonprofit at the end of this year, we are continuing our partnership with the Osteosarcoma Institute in memory of Bella for better treatments and hopes of survival for others battling this rare and aggressive bone cancer. There hasn't been a new treatment in over 40 years. Since OSI's inception in 2017 they already have 2 clinical trials and their administrative salaries are covered by a private foundation. They are focused on the cure!

Bella's dying wish was to find better treatments so that no child would suffer from this painful disease like she did and that there would be a cure one day. Therefore, a science fundraising page at OSI has been established in her memory at this link:
